Geneforge 2 Editor not responding

I've done what it says in the instructions and when i try to enter entry valley, ti starts to load and just freezes. i saved the files without opening then in the window first. and The game is installed on my old win 98 computer.

I've read through some of the older posts about this and i still can't get it to work.

Compare the file you've downloaded with the file online. (It's just a text file.) Or just try downloading it again. I've heard of problems if for some reason part of the file got cut off.

I got that error too,it stops loading when it comes to 'Loading Dialoge (something here I forgot)'.When I close the window but not closing the game(alt+tab)I see that the game says: Unhandled Exception and there's an error that says: Unhandled Exception: c0000005

I got full version and my computer is Dell,XPS 4000.

Thanks it works fine now ... i re downloaded the file and added it to the version that i has on my new comp and then copied that script folder to the game on my old comp and it works fine .
