NPC release to talk to an other NPC

Hi,

Does anyone have any ideals about the coding for taking a NPC that is currently in my party, release that NPC and then have him go and talk to an other NPC? Since the new scenario I'm working on is based on a singleton, I need NPC's to do some of the work for me. BTW, another reason for the NPC's doing some of the work because my "Lone Wolf" character is starting out as a level one priest with just the opening cloths on his back.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think this is indeed best, but if its not to long, make a complete cutscene.

You could make dialog between NPCs... kinda like your character is an observer, watching the other two converse. If your character isn't in the same area, just have the NPC "report back" on the conversation when he sees your character again.

Although the cutscene certainly would be flashier...

I think the cutscene would be much better. And how about having your character not see it? And not even have it reported? It would build up tension, and could even be used as a kind of plot device - imagine your ally yourslef with someone who's working with the bad guys...
