Fledgling Fyora coreyh2
How much is string variable like a pointer to a char in C? After I call get_buffer_text and then clear_buffer is the variable string still safe to use? I'm overly paranoid because I've crashed C programs often by not correctly handling memory and strings. Not much, from what I understand. You can use a string variable, clear it, and re-use it as much as you want. You'll only kill BoA if you make the string more than 256 characters long (including beginning and ending quotes).
Easygoing Eyebeast *i
You're worrying too much. The best way to test whether you will break things is to simply try them. The string buffer is a pretty versatile thing as far as I have experienced.
