Fledgling Fyora Slue
Howdy, I just finished a solo character playthrough for Exile 1. I found it to be pretty viable. The character was primarily a fighter, but with a bit of mage and priest skills. Mostly for buffing purposes. Leveling early on was grindy, but not too bad. Has anyone had successful solo playthroughs for Exile II / Exile III? I am going to give it a go for II. Wish me luck!
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
This was a really common thing back in the day, believe it or not. Not only is it reasonably easy once you figure out what's really strong in Exile's combat, it's much faster than playing with a whole party. Fledgling Fyora Slue
The speed of solo play is certainly part of the appeal.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Your only problem is lack of inventory slots, not for money, but useful items for the long dungeons fights.
Fledgling Fyora Slue
I was happy to see that I would have more inventory slots in II in comparison to Exile I. Much loot was left behind. Hopefully for the next band of adventurers to stroll by.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
There are also more types of wearable equipment in II. Honestly, though, the inventory slot thing isn't a big deal. "Useful items for the long dungeon fights" are pointless. You can use one or two slots on energy potions and be prepared to anything at all. It is annoying to leave more loot behind, but you eventually gain more than enough gold to max out a singleton's relevant stats with Silverlocke anyway.
