Garrulous Glaahk Skippy the bush kangaroo
Way back when, it was always a 'challenge' in the Ultima series to kill Lord British. So, apropos of nothing, has anyone tried to kill King Micah in Avernum 1? Any luck? Any haunted dreams?
Garrulous Glaahk Wham Bam Shizzlezam
I have never tried it, but if you kill an important figure in the game, don't you get killed yourself? I mean, not in battle but after you acutally kill him wouldn't you get a message saying something like this: "You strike Micah down, but the whole of the town guard come rushing in, and in a matter of moments you are all dead." I think something like that would happen....
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
I tried it in Exile, and that's pretty much what happened.
Burgeoning Battle Gamma The Yeoman Cheesemonger
That is what happens in Avernum III. In fort Emergence when you commit a crime it brings up a message stating that "because you did this you are deemed unfit for the job, and are thrown into the deepest dungeon, and left there to rot." Or something like that anyway. Stay on the right side of the cops.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Sticky
Or just kill them with field spells(protective circle) or quickfire.... Edit: On reflection this is Avernum no Exile, and I never really spent enough time going through all the possibilities in A1 or 2 so I really have no idea. perhaps a summoned creature and then field of blades? Garrulous Glaahk mistica
why in God's name do you want to kill the poor man I fail to understand... give us 10 good reasons & we just might let you know how to kill him.
Ineffable Wingbolt Rent-an-Ihrno
maybe ill try later today, then ill tell you how it went.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Sticky
I am sure that I don't need help figuring it out, I just haven't tried in the Avernum series. But 10 reasons. 1) He likely has smelly feet 2) He never leaves his little room and never talks to anybody but you 3) His name is not George, Steve, or Matt 4) His name is slander against the biblical dude of the same name 5) I find it enjoyable to kill him 6) Others find it enjoyable to kill him 7) Why not? I kill everyone else. 8) It is a way to stick it to the man 9) He likely has smelly feet 10) He has no other recreational uses that make me want to keep him alive. Garrulous Glaahk Skippy the bush kangaroo
10 reasons: 1) Ultima I 2) Ultima II 3) Ultima III 4) Ultima IV 5) Ultima V 6) Ultima VI 7) Ultima VII 8) Ultima VIII 9) Because it\'s traditional 10) Because I can\'t kill Alaric
Kyshakk Koan Arenax
In Exile, if you kill him, it's game over, no matter how he dies. You can't even get that far in Exile/Avernum II, and I haven't tried yet in A1.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Sticky
I think that protective circle works. And quickfire almost defintly does. But I would have to dig to check and I don't feel like it. To lazy ( and not feeling like staying away from the books for the length of time that would take, who here loves finals)
