Kranas Woods, Scream and Flickering Lights?

I've had these messages pop up when I visit the upper Kranas Woods, as well as a remark about a woman singing under the bridge south of Timberland Keep. Am I missing some encounters? Or these just traps to lure you into battle? I've already fought an Elder Naga just above the Ruska Pass.

I think they are just their for local color and not encounter related. If you ever played Nethergate, it's like the fish muttering about being stupid and granting three wishes.

I thought the screams in Kranas wood were about the human sacrifice happening there (as a lead-up to the Cestus decision on what to do about that).

At least I got them just before that Cestus decision.

They may in fact also hint at the sacrifices, but they're just flavor pop-ups (appearing in the southeastern area of the southern Kranas, and again in the southern area of the northern Kranas), and have nothing to do with the timing of the Cestus judgment or anything else.
