Guest
Hi, I've been drained by a wright and/or vampire. I could not find any information about the draining attack of some special types of undeads. So, what is/are the effect(s) of being drained, and are they permanant? I'll assume I'm loosing some XP? Is that all? Can I regain it? Many thanks!!
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Yes, draining just sucks a very small amount of experience from a character. It's permanent but it's hardly crippling. —Alorael, who still believes in overkill to deal with wights at long range.
Well-Actually War Trall Fort
You cannot in an abstract sense regain what the strike took from you, but as I recall the amount of XP loss is recouped very easily. If you are being hit enough to times to warrant worrying about this type of thing, the XP lost is the least of your worries.

Seconded. Anything with such abilities needs to be dealt with swiftly... and of course, the overkill makes the wights' death animation that much more fun (at least with the BoA graphics). Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Your prejudices have nothing to do with it? —Alorael, who supports full rights for the differently alive. Except the right to life, of course, because that's silly.

Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
The Differently Alive Need Loving Too, please! —Alorael, who won't have charged language being used carelessly. Every time hateful words are used some poor zombie lives a little bit inside.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The undead are proof that life is not worth living. That's why they try to convert you to their view point.
Well-Actually War Trall Fort
I thought it was because they get to kill you and eat your brains in the process.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
No, that's just because they get a little too exuberant. —Alorael, who wonder who first decided that zombies should eat brains. Are there any differently fixated zombies? What about allergies?

They're just being blody-minded about it, I'm sure.
