Fledgling Fyora bladesofavernum1
I made this for blades of avernum. http://www.mediafire.com/?buazt1n9nlb
Magnificent Ornk Ephesos
No way am I clicking that. Sorry, nameless prankster who is probably Dintiradan.
Kyshakk Koan Redstart
Oh wow. This scenario must be good, since I didn't understand the plot at all. A bit short, but that seems to be the trend these days.
Understated Ur-Drakon Nioca
It's better than RLY and Foul Hordes. Ephesos: It is a legitimate scenario, though I'm using the term 'legitimate' very loosely.
Magnificent Ornk Aran
It is certainly more legitimate than RLY. And I can vouch that the words "Never gonna give you up" do not appear anywhere in it.
Easygoing Eyebeast Thralni
Guys? Every line in that scenario is taken from lyrics by Radiohead, like "Black Star" for example. It's a very good song, by the way. Just so you know.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
... It reminds me of "A perfect hour to forget"...
Ineffable Wingbolt aka Ravenwing
Thank you. I have now wasted several seconds of my life that I will never get back.
Garrulous Glaahk Diprosopus
That took less than a minute. Was I cheating?
Magnificent Ornk Aran
Diprosopus: I have it on excellent authority that if you press "Wait" a total of 81 times, the actual scenario will start. And it is glorious.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Paying homage to Faust, I played this again. I waited 90 times. Nothing.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Pssh. Edit/quote/edit/quote.
Easygoing Eyebeast Thralni
Still though, the designing (how little it may be) is nice, I think.
Fledgling Fyora bladesofavernum1
Thank you Thralni. This isn't an April fools joke, it is a real scenario. I guess if anything, the joke is that people thought it was a joke. I feel I should explain why I released it. I have played many Blades of Exile and Avernum scenarios, and in a lot of them you spend a lot of time doing nothing, under the guise of a mission. So, for example, you are told to go to point a, collect item b and take it to point c. As a player all you are doing is clicking on the keyboard a lot, and it isn't demanding any attention. Also, there are no scenarios where you literally do nothing, and are told that you have no role to play in the scenario. So I made "Phew for a minute" (which is a line from a song ^^) which forces you to do nothing, apart from waiting. If I had to give it a genre, I would call it "visual poetry", but that is only because I read a really good book on the subject a few days before I wrote it. It's not meant to do anything apart from make people pause and think, and I promise for my next scenario which I am making, it willl be much more interactive

Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Perhaps here's the fault - it's just a little too oblique for the average SWer?
Magnificent Ornk Ephesos
The fault is indeed so large that it has cracked the earth and engulfed us all.
Magnificent Ornk Swimmin' Salmon
I didn't actually play it, but am I still qualified to rate it?
Unflappable Drayk Lazarus.
Yes. As a matter of fact, I'll go so far as to say that you're still qualified even if you haven't heard of the scenario before.
