Burgeoning Battle Gamma trinko
I'm just starting but the I get the spinning icon a lot. The game will hang for 10 or so seconds, or longer. It seems to be related to when a new area is loaded but not always. I'm running 10.14.6 on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) 4.2 GHz Intel Core i7 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Radeon Pro 580 8 GB Thanks for any info. Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb
I have had a few reports of this happening on Windows, but I made some changes that might fix it in v1.0.1. This is the first report of this happening in Mac, though. Drop us a note at support@spiderwebsoftware.com?
Fledgling Fyora Lykeas
I got it also very often, the game hangs up for a few seconds
Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb
This is a really rare issue, so I have to make sure it's a flaw in the game and not just a local issue. Could you try running Activity Monitor while playing the game? WHen it paused, alt-tab to Activity Monitor and look at performance and see what process/program is slowing things down. This will do a lot to troubleshoot the issue.
Fledgling Fyora Lykeas
Ok usually when i run the game it is around 35% CPU usage, when it gets stuck it drops to 0. I didnt see any other programm use the cpu at the time
Rotghroth Rhapsody Ess-Eschas
Hello Lykeas, From what you've said, this sounds like a possible memory problem. Would you mind having a quick look again? In Activity Monitor, select the 'System Memory' tag, which you should see about halfway down the main window. This should show you a little pie chart of your computer's memory usage. Does anything odd happen to this when Queen's Wish hangs? In particular, do you have a small amount of free memory available, or does this drop to near zero when a hang happens? Alternatively, take a look at the 'Virtual Memory' column of your active programs. Are any of these showing lots of memory usage? In this case, more than about 1GB probably counts as large. Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb
If game usage it going to 0%, that means something else if preventing the game from running. Is it possible Time Machine is kicking in at this time? Do you have any unusual programs that are doing frequent jobs in your system? Garrulous Glaahk Snowwhite
The game is playing VERY slowly on my Win 10 64 bit i7 7700 3.6 Ghz computer. I have a loaner video card as mine has gone to the doctor. The loaner video card is an ATI 6700. Perhaps in version v.101 the speed will be better. When will that version be released? Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb
Contact us at support@spiderwebsoftware.com. The v101 update will be out very soon, but it you're getting general slowness you should look into reinstalling the game and your video drivers.
