Lava Pits in Northern Mines G1

Is there any way to turn off the lava pits in the Northern Mines to get to and from the two canisters?

Nope. Be in combat mode, use a shielding pot (50% less damage taken) and whatever items you have that mitigate fire. Not sure how much armor helps.

Thanks for writing back.  I got through but went through a lot of pots.  Was hard for a shaper carrying way too much stuff so I h ad only 2 combat steps

Shapers should try to leave most items behind to lower encumbrance and carry the minimum that they might need. Make a separate save in case you take the wrong things.
