Chittering Clawbug BloomingLilac
Hi. I just got my Dispel Barrier spell to level 3, but I can't dispel the barrier behind Djokov's Lab. Does my skill need to be higher than it is? Here are some screenshots from my Steam account. Thanks in advance for any help. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1410214512 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1410214603
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
According to the List there is a relatively hard magical barrier there that takes a higher level of combined abilities spell level in dispel barrier, spell craft, and mage spells. Chittering Clawbug BloomingLilac
Hmmm...I'll increase those skills and try again later. Do you have any idea how high these skills need to be? I think her Spellcraft is 6 and she has 15 in Mage Spells.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The combined is 27 to 28 so you need several more levels of spell craft. BloomingLilac
Chittering Clawbug BloomingLilac
Thank you! Edit: I put one more point in Spellcraft and she was able to dispel the barrier. Mage Spells = 15 Spellcraft = 7 Dispel Barrier = 3 Maybe someone else will benefit from this info. (I might need a reminder when I replay the game in a year or two.) 😄 Would it work with lower skill in Mage Spells and higher Spellcraft? Burgeoning Battle Gamma Puksis
IIRC, in the 2nd Avernum trilogy, Spellcraft = Magery = Mage spells, when it comes to calculating spell effects. Spell level acts as a point of Spellcraft to that specific spell.
