Chittering Clawbug Italianhitman
Does anyone know a way to make gridlines on a town map while creating, because I'm have trouble placeing horses and boats and other stuff like portals and stairwells. Understated Ur-Drakon The Almighty Doer of Stuff
Yes. Take some clear plastic, draw a grid on it, and tape it to your monitor. Other than that, no. Don't worry, you get used to it eventually. EDIT: Oh, wait. I see what you're saying. Underneath the clickable terrains, the (X,Y) coordinates of the tile at the center of the display are displayed.
Well-Actually War Trall Custer
And if you're having trouble finding the center, press 5 on the numpad.
Chittering Clawbug Italianhitman
ok thanks, but that plastic idea didn't work all that well, oh well, the other ones did, thanks.

Easygoing Eyebeast ben4808
You tried that? Anyway, I think there should be an easier way of knowing the coordinates to a certain square than carefully centering it in the screen. That seems to take forever. Articulate Vlish TakenName
you could always simply COUNT from where you are centered.
Magnificent Ornk Drakefyre
The grid is 9x9. It shouldn't be too hard. If you're having trouble, place an item on a space and then edit it - it will tell you the coordinates.

Yeah, that's what I do. I was just commenting on how much easier it would be to have the coordinates change in relation to where the cursor is instead of the center of the screen. Oh well, I guess there's no point in whining about it, though.
Chittering Clawbug Italianhitman
no I didn't try that, it was a bit of humor, guess it wasn't funny.
