If you download the demo of some older games, you had to send in a code to get registered and block the full game. If you buy the game directly or from a third party, it usually comes registered.

All CD-ROMs were automatically registered back when Jeff still sold them that way.

So. You've downloaded the demo of Geneforge 1 from Spiderweb's site? Awesome. You like it enough to want to buy it? Great. Spiderweb only sells the Geneforge games in a bundle - the Geneforge Saga bundle. That means if you buy from them, you're going to get all five games for $30. Sweet as. They'll be full, registered versions, and you'll most probably get a download link for the whole collection. I guess it's possible you might get a set of registration keys for the games. Either way, you're getting all five games of gooey Geneforge goodness from that one purchase. Same thing with Steam.

In other words, my first post was correct, and I guess Randomizer wasn't aware that SW only sells older games in packages now.
