Garrulous Glaahk ArchMage81 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Do i have to manually register each game? or they all come registered? Quote
Magnificent Ornk nikki. Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 They should all come registered, regardless of where you purchased them. Quote
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 If you download the demo of some older games, you had to send in a code to get registered and block the full game. If you buy the game directly or from a third party, it usually comes registered. All CD-ROMs were automatically registered back when Jeff still sold them that way. Quote

Well im playing geneforge 1, and it needs to be registered, im planning to buy the geneforge saga, so i was asking if they will send me the code for GF1 and if i have to register all the other games Quote
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I'm pretty sure all the Geneforge games need to be registered if brought from Spiderweb. Quote
Magnificent Ornk nikki. Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 So. You've downloaded the demo of Geneforge 1 from Spiderweb's site? Awesome. You like it enough to want to buy it? Great. Spiderweb only sells the Geneforge games in a bundle - the Geneforge Saga bundle. That means if you buy from them, you're going to get all five games for $30. Sweet as. They'll be full, registered versions, and you'll most probably get a download link for the whole collection. I guess it's possible you might get a set of registration keys for the games. Either way, you're getting all five games of gooey Geneforge goodness from that one purchase. Same thing with Steam. In other words, my first post was correct, and I guess Randomizer wasn't aware that SW only sells older games in packages now. Quote
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 That is true since I bought the first 3 Geneforge games as CD-ROMs and got the next two as register using a code. Quote
Garrulous Glaahk ArchMage81 Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 They should all come registered, regardless of where you purchased them. Will i get to keep my saved games or do i need to restart all over again? Quote
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Saved games can be transferred. The first 3 and the last are easiest by just writing over the whole save game folder. Geneforge 4 requires transferring the individual saved games into each saved game numbered folder within the game. Quote
Unflappable Drayk adc. Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 It's probably in the My Documents Folder, copy the whole thing, then paste it in a usb or something, then run GF then paste the folder and overwrite. Quote
