Garrulous Glaahk Eclipse
Would you rather live from now onward without anyone from Earth in the most technologically advanced alien (organic or otherwise) civilization in existence, or stay on Earth for the rest of your life from now onward? The alien civilization is peaceful and has no chance of ever discovering Earth.

Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Depends on whether I can still get new books and DVDs for entertainment.
Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
Living with aliens would be, well, alienating. Loneliness would likely set in rapidly. On the other hand, one would likely not suffer from ennui: it would take years to accustom oneself with the aliens' culture and language. Easygoing Eyebeast Goldengirl
Living with aliens would be, well, alienating. Loneliness would likely set in rapidly. "Hell is other people." - Jean-Paul Sartre. Alienation is inevitable. I have enough aspirations here that aren't necessarily technologically-bound, though, that I'd prefer my hell on Earth than in the cosmos. As a social scientist, I feel like I've got a lot to do here.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
If the alien civilization is the Culture, yes, without a moment's hesitation. If it's like the Culture, but the main inhabitants are totally nonhuman, yes, with only a slight hesitation. If the most advanced aliens in existence are just a couple hundred years ahead of modern humanity, probably not. For one thing, I'd be at risk of dying of diseases easily treatable by us but practically inconceivable to aliens with no common biology whatsoever. —Alorael, who would miss some people if he went. Just not enough to give up a chance on the cultural experience of a lifetime.

Garrulous Glaahk Questionably Legal
Depends on how non-human the aliens are.Rubber-forehead aliens i would consider, sentient lumps of fungus, not so much.
Ineffable Wingbolt Necris Omega
I'd need a lot more information about said aliens and their nature and plans for me personally. Okay, so they've interplanetary space travel... so? What am I to them then? What are their goals, their aspirations, their purpose in randomly plucking a lowly earthling out from the infinity of space? Am I a zoo exhibit? A pet? A conversation piece? Are we talking Borg/Zerg/Species-styled assimilation? And what of their culture? What really defines "advanced" culture, and by whose standards? Libertarian? Socialist? Theocrist? This isn't like technology - there's no one unified, perfect answer by our understanding. Just not enough information.

Ineffable Wingbolt BMA
I usually make it a point to check with Maslow's pyramid. Can the new planet, and the aliens within, satisfy me in all aspects ? Can I do that thing, the doing of which will make me feel that this was the thing that I was born to do ? It's hard enough even without the lack of humans from the opposite sex. Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
If it's really the most advanced civilization in existence, then it might be advanced enough to be like the green realm in Jack Vance's story "Green Magic". I find this story haunting, and having read it: I think I'd rather stay on earth; yet I probably wouldn't.
Unflappable Drayk Edgwyn
I would not choose to leave my family, friends and fellow humans behind, I do not think that I could maintain my sanity in that environment.

Well-Actually War Trall Actaeon
I'd stick it out on Earth. I'm too fond of trees and such to accept an alien landscape.
