It depends how much Jeff decides to change Avernum: Escape from the Pit to use features he liked from the modified versions. Since it's a remake, most of the content is already written. Avadon 3 will come about a year after that. Also it depends upon how much the game engine changes to allow new features. It will take longer since all the content is new. Avernum 3: The Ruined World is next and is the largest world. Writing dialogue for Jeff's games is equivalent to a novel. During beta testing only a little bit of the game is tested to catch bugs and keep the game balanced. This means experience levels get altered so we aren't level 30 half way through. Now that Avadon 2 is finally done, we are starting to poke at our upcoming rewrite of Avernum 2. We hope to have a full release announcement with screenshots and stuff before summer. Avernum 2 is next. As Randomizer said, Avadon 3 is presumably next after that, then Avernum 3, because Spiderweb generally alternates between series. So there will probably be a release announcement for Avernum 2 within a month or so (screenshots! speculation! hype!), but they won't actually release the game for a while.
