Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Shadowwalker is probably the best class for the main character. Put everything in Dexterity, equip a bunch of +evasion gear and pretty soon nothing will ever hit you except cold and acid attacks. You can also pick locks and do very solid ranged damage. All three branches of the Shadowwalker's skill tree have good stuff but their capstone skills are both lacklustre, so feel free to spread your points across all three, probably focusing most on the middle one. Blademaster is a solid class that becomes amazing in the endgame. Early on, Sharpshooter Spray is the single strongest area-of-effect damage skill in the entire game, so focus on Dexterity and use a bow. Later, Call of the Frenzy (top right-hand capstone skill when upgraded to rank 6) is the single strongest buff in the game, although the minimum possible level at which you can get it is 27. Getting both Call of the Frenzy and Sharpshooter Spray by level 30 is tricky but possible. For a third character, you can pick who you like, but I favour the Sorceress. She can do excellent, reliable single-target damage against anything that's not heavily resistant to fire, and against enemies that do heavily resist fire she's got plenty of other elemental options to throw around too. She's also got surprisingly good survivability thanks to Shadow Cloak and her middle-column defensive passives.
Magnificent Ornk Kelandon
I use the same setup. I gave up on Call of the Frenzy, because I wanted the extra bow damage from the BM, but otherwise did much the same. The full party is described in a little more detail here (in the first couple of paragraphs).
