Earth
Is there some logical reason why casters (at least shaman's) attacking range is shorter than others (at least tinker and blade) long range attack? Tinker and blade can attack outside turrets range but shaman can't.
Edgwyn
Sorcerer and Shaman can use their bows and javelins to attack at a longer range then they can with firebolt and spirit claw. Technically, firebolt and spirit claw are their melee attacks.
Earth
yea but their magical attacks do somewhat more damage.
Lilith
Spells have a range of 10 spaces and missile weapons have a range of 12 spaces. I don't know if there's any particular reason for it, but that's the way it is.
Punctuation rains from the heavens
One of many things that is fixed in the remix. 1.0 coming some time this week.
Earth
(Corruption) enemes seem to have longer range (and no cooldown in their attacks).
Davies
On the other hand, you can use magical attacks at point blank range, something that you can't do with missile ones.
Earth
while enemies cleave with their bows.
springacres
Magical attacks can cleave too, if the caster's Dex is high enough.
Randomizer
while enemies cleave with their bows. They get doubleshot unlike us.
Questionably Legal
Poster: *stamps foot* It's not fair! Why do enemies get all the good stuff? JV: Life's not fair. Deal with it.
dodo
It reduces the strength of casters and give you some incentive to add Dex. In combat, sometimes you have to decide if it's worth getting close enough to an enemy to hit them with the higher damage/tohit magic attack. At 10 squares away, the enemy can use up its 9 ap to walk up to you and ensnare you.
Jerakeen
Magical attacks can cleave too, if the caster's Dex is high enough. Is this accurate? Spirit Claw can cleave if the skill is high enough, but I was unaware of Dex having any effect on casting whatsoever.
Punctuation rains from the heavens
Definitely not accurate. Cleaving never depends on stats, it is either a set chance for a particular ability/attack, or rises for a particular ability/attack by training the skill associated with that ability/attack. It is 0% for most attacks and abilities.
springacres
Oh... my mistake, I just knew it could cleave and assumed the chance had to do with the caster's Dex level... and that all magical attacks could cleave.
Earth
They get doubleshot unlike us. good training on rebels bad on pact soldiers, my bm has done multiple bow shots w/o cleave-shot (although most of those have been against single enemy). also bit weird that cleave can hurt even if there's 1 square difference between char's or summon and char or turret and char.
