regomar
I keep hearing that Avadon 2 won't be coming to Android but nobody ever says why. The last 2 Spiderweb games came out for Android and I love them in that format. No, I don't plan to buy an Ipad, and yes, Im ok with waiting longer for release, I just want to know if there's some hope!
Lilith
The short answer is that the Android porting process was a huge pain fraught with bugs and incompatibilities on different hardware, and sales numbers on Android didn't justify the tech support hassles and the hit to Spiderweb's reputation. Jeff Vogel has said he'll only port to Android again if an organisation he trusted offered to do it for him free of charge, pretty much.

Thanks for the info I guess... I had no issues whatsoever with either game on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Oh well, I guess there's always PC, but having them portable was such a delight. Randomizer
The problem with Android tablets versus iPad is that there are several different screen sizes and resolutions. In order to make the game easily visible the porting team has to make different size graphics to use instead of the one size fits all of the other versions.
DanNeely
Properly supporting the retina ipad will require a second higher resolution set of artwork (2048x1536 vs 1024x768). Will the windows/mac versions of the game also offer the high DPI version to anyone with a display capable of using it?
Earth
I think upcoming gamess will support older ipads too so prolly not.
skylinkdave
That's a real shame, I would've loved to have been more than a one-time customer.
