Garrulous Glaahk lampshade
The specific problem, is that there is a huge delay when a sound is played. Meaning if a sound is played the game is paused for around a few seconds which is pretty slow to me! I tried to download the latest version, but the problem is still there, and the pauses seem to be getting longer each time I play it. Rotghroth Rhapsody Prince of Kitties
Are you using Linux and Wine? Wine and BoE have sound problems. It worked for a while in Wine 1.4.1, provided you didn't use Pulseaudio; now as of 1.5.x it doesn't work any more. Best bet is to just disable sound in the CBoE options panel. Garrulous Glaahk lampshade
Ah sorry I haven't replied in a while. I'm actually using Windows 7, however I'm using it on a very old laptop so the oldness might be the main factor.
Easygoing Eyebeast keira
Yes, if you're using a new OS on an old system, that might cause issues if you could give a dump of dxdiag, that might be able to help us diagnose.
Garrulous Glaahk lampshade
How can I dump it?
Easygoing Eyebeast keira
WinKey-R, then type 'dxdiag' in the box and hit enter. A thing will open, if there's an option to run 64-bit dxdiag hit that. Then hit 'save all info' and it'll dump all of its glorious stuff to a text file. You can hen either use a pastebin or file uploading site (if you want, feel free to my files.calref), and share the link. for reference, it'll look something like this. Garrulous Glaahk lampshade
Sorry it took a while! I switched to a Windows 8 computer and the problem is even worse! The sounds slow things even more down and there are sporadic crashes while playing. Here's an infodump: http://pastebin.com/WUrSKSnh
