Curious Artila noname
Just ordered Avadon at your ridiculously low price. Thanks for the deal. But what is the November sadness sale? Why the sadness?
Well-Actually War Trall Actaeon
Because November is often a bleak and melancholy month. This year was an exception to that rule, though, at least around here.
Curious Artila noname
Glad to hear that was all it meant. I thought it could have been a family tradgety or something.
Well-Actually War Trall Actaeon
It's an annual thing, though it's usually October. Spiderweb Software, in a spasm of depression caused by the typically miserable Seattle autumn weather, has decided to cheer itself up by having a sale. The prospect of the next six months of unrelenting darkness, gloom, and Pacific northwest moisture has driven this small, independent game company to offer 10% off on all of its products for the month of October. Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
November is depressed because his girlfriend, May, ran off with February, who she quotes, "Is fancier than you."
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
i guess may-november romances really don't work out after all
Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
Yeah, may is just too hot for november.
Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
February can be pretty cold at times. I personally don't think he deserves May.
Well-Actually War Trall Actaeon
May and September are clearly the perfect match. That's not based off a pun- it's just my opinion.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
It's interesting that the months are feminine names and that only the Spring months are commonly used. I've also seen October, again as a woman's name. —Alorael, who is just taking a roundabout way of saying he's going to be sexist and say that February is probably a she, not a he. And she absolutely doesn't deserve May.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
August is insulted at being called feminine.
Well-Actually War Trall Rowen
I have known two August's, both female.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Hail, Caesaris! —Alorael, who is now considering further. Days of the week aren't names except for the fictional Thursday Next. Seasons can be: there's the famous Summer Glau, and he's also met an Autumn. But no Springs, oddly enough, even though those are the monthly favorites. Winter is apparently a feminine name too, but he's never encountered it. Except Milady de Winter, of course. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I was thinking of Sean Connery's character in the movie version of The Avengers TV show.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
I have known two August's, both female. counterpoint: august derleth I was thinking of Sean Connery's character in the movie version of The Avengers TV show. 1) when was that a movie 2) why was sean connery in it
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Movie was 1998 with Sean Connery playing the villain Sir August de Wynter. His sisters mentioned in the novelization were May and June.
Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
Such names are sort of strange, you can have dialogues like:- August who was born in august died in august, or Winter who was born in summer died in spring due to rains. Magnificent Ornk nikki.
this thread <3 I know/have known a couple of Autumns, and a June, but that's it, I think.
Understated Ur-Drakon The Almighty Doer of Stuff
Winter who was born in summer died in spring due to rains. Rains? Not due to a fall?
Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
Rains? Not due to a fall? I thought of that but the 'a' played the spoilsport.

Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Always carry the one Autumn Summers, engineer, falls into clock, killed by spring due to mathematical error. —Alorael, who also managed to sneak in a very stealthy pun that makes summer the culprit. Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
I've met a girl named Winter, which I thought was an unusual name. I'm just surprised I haven't met anyone named Year or Wet Season.
