Curious Artila Endarire
Greetings, all! I've been avoiding reading spellbooks until I learn the level 2 versions of the spells I want. Must I do this to save the most money? Can I instead read a book then buy 2 levels of that spell? Will it cost the same amount of coins? (I'm on the PC version.) Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Jeff finally fixed it so order is no longer important. Also costs stay the same no matter the order and it doesn't cost more for the second trained level.
Kyshakk Koan Hume
Training cost remains the same before and after you read a spell book, no matter of version. Actually, you can get a max of 2 levels of spell from trainers, and a max of 1 from dungeons. They are independent when considering acquiring, and add up when considering casting effects. Curious Artila Endarire
If I learn a spell from a spellbook (like Haste), does that affect what I get from the Stagnant Tunnels Spellbooks?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The Stagnant Tunnel spellbooks only give the first two levels. If you have read another spellbook then you will have 3 levels. If you got them from a trainer or at character creation then you will still be at 2 levels.
