Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
God. Huge outbreak of topics in one day. Anywho, this has been discussed MANY times. Go bump a different thread if you have better information for it, and use the search function to see if its been discussed before. And its called an eye-beast. Ineffable Wingbolt BMA
I hadn't realized that G2 had so many creations. But that's including the evolutions, of course.

Yeah, but repeats of subjective discussion threads like favorite creations is okay once in a while, since the answers will probably change some. Dikiyoba hasn't played G2 in a very long time, but if in doubt, Dikiyoba's answer is always the cryoa.
Easygoing Eyebeast Goldengirl
In Delicious Vlish's absence, I vote for the Terror Vlish. That said, I also highly favor the Drayk. I'd find categories of creation more illustrative for polling, broken down on tier of creation as well as separately by type (fire, magic, or battle), as having this many choices makes it difficult and ignores nuanced choice. Easygoing Eyebeast Triumph
Vlish. They are just cool.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Clawbug swarms hold a special place in my heart, and I believe they were also advocated by DV. Something about giant bugs crushing all opposition warms the cockles of my heart. —Alorael, who's also very much in favor of the rotghroths and rotdhizons. Beating your enemies into a literal puddle never gets old.
Tenderfoot Thahd BorionDorion
I just beat Geneforge 1 with only a fyora, it was tough but I dug the Guardian/Fyora combo. Im now playing Geneforge 2 with an agent and I cant summon yet, maybe I will find a stray. But yeah, Fyora gets my vote

Unflappable Drayk adc.
Rothgroths. They run around like hell, and I haven't got one beaten on my party No really, I like zombies ------------ -Zombie, Nightwatcher
Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
Rotties aren't "Zombies" They are just walking piles of organs and scabbed flesh, and barley any mind at all. wait... Even though they are technically the same thing, they aren't.
Garrulous Glaahk The Reincarnated Baron von Steuben
My vote goes to the Fyora. The fyora is the base of almost all fire creations. The Fyora's variants... Cryoa, Drayk, Cryodrayk, Kyshakk, Drakon, and the Ur-Drakon. Sorry that its so late but better late than never, eh? Garrulous Glaahk SamSniped
Ur-Drakon. 'Nuff said. Post #XXI of the challenge
Tenderfoot Thahd Heust Blade
I found that in Geneforge 3 there was a shaper-created rot that intelligently reasoned and talked to me to defeat an enhanced battle beta in a near room. zombies dont usually speak and reason. And they also cant hit twice in one turn and spray acid.
Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
FOR GODS SAKES! THEY ARN'T ZOMBIES! THEY ARE THE SAME THING WITH A DIFFERENT NAME!
Garrulous Glaahk The Reincarnated Baron von Steuben
Can someone teach me how to quote? Trenton: You know the descriptions and information about a creation when the game is loading? I think it mentioned the influence of a Fyora. Is the Kyshakk not a Fire Creation? Garrulous Glaahk Little Fyora
Rotgroth(s) aren't zombies, but are they 'undead' in the true sense of the term ? They can be abominations; old, dead left over body parts of other creations mindlessly patched together with a bucket of acid thrown in, by some mad shaper. I seem to recall reading somewhere that only with-brain creations can be Charmed (Now, I hope that wasn't Exile/Avernum). Rotgroth can be charmed, so they're alive aren't they ? Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
Rotgroths, like every other creation in the game, are created by a Shaper's essence. Therefore, they are alive. They may seem like undead constructs, but they are shaped creatures, not necromantic creations.
Burgeoning Battle Gamma ToddMcF2002
I thought they were of the Thyad family?
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
Close. IIRC, in G2, you learn that Rotgroths were created by the Barzites as an "improved" version of the Battle Alpha.
Curious Artila shoopypit
I would say my favorite would be the drayks. They have decent melee with good missile attacks. They aren't the best in any of the games, I just like them and think they are cool
Unflappable Drayk Death Knight
Is that really true? You can get through geneforge 1-5 with a fyora?? Thats gotta be really hard but if so thats pretty friggin cool.
Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
You can get through the game with no creations at all...
Ineffable Wingbolt BMA
Isn't that a waste of essence, seeing as only some of it is used for spellcasting ? - Still, I'd always have played as an agent if only there was an option to choose a male graphic. I just find it hard to associate myself with a female character.

I felt the same way until I discovered the wonderful world of geneforge script editing, it's as simple as changing a number in the right file and you can play as anything you want(that exists in the game), although it doesn't really work with things that aren't meant to hold weapons(in my G4/G5 experiences)soo your sprite will change when you equip a weapon(gazer -> golem, drakon -> gazer in G5, i dont know about the rest )

Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Or, you know, just get over it and either a) play a female character or ignore the graphic and play a male Agent. Dikiyoba wishes that there were separate male and female graphics or unisex graphics for all the classes (in a perfect world there would be all three sets, but graphics are expensive), both to increase opportunities for the player and for storytelling (since Jeff seems to have trouble getting over it too), but alas that's not the case.
