Actaeon
Fascinating. Do you think they're actually aware of Jeff's games or is it just a coincidence? Furthermore, does Jeff have a trademark? Finally, how might I go about getting an @geneforgeinc email address?

If they were trying to pass themselves off as being associated with the game in some way, that'd be different.
Dire Hobbit
"Trademarks generally apply only to the industry or industries in which you're actively doing business" That's how it's supposed to work. But in today's world you get "IP holding companies".
Cairo Jim
Thats probably what you'd see laying around with technologically abled Shapers.
Emmisary of Immanence
You get a lot of patent holding companies. Trademarks? I'd imagine less so. The lawsuits tend to be simpler, and there's far less money in it. The most likely result is just forcing people to change names, which isn't terribly productive. —Alorael, who would go with coincidence. The name's an obvious one. He'd put more money on the makers being inspired by SourceForge, and he wouldn't put much money on that.
Dire Hobbit
I wasn't thinking of patent trolls. Just the business as usual whereby (for example) the manufacturing division will license the trademark from the holding company.
