Curious Artila Andariel
I searched for quite some time for a way to access Waterfall Warren to no avail. I have unclocked giants ships and I explored the whole northern Avernum. I also reached Tss-Thss stronghold... What's the way to reach Waterfall Warren? From where must I travel to reach it? Thanks
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
If you find Fort Dranlon, in the Eastern Gallery, and head west from there, you'll find it in no time; there's at least one sign with a picture of rapids on the way. If you're coming from Sss-Thsss, you'll want to head north, until you find a smaller Slith fort, and then head west. (Also, these are a little outdated now, but the Avernum Annotated Maps are still useful in giving you an idea where things are - some of the paths/dungeons may have changed, but the general location of things hasn't.) Rotghroth Rhapsody Kreador
Head west from Fort Dranlon, and keep going west as long as you can. If you just pull up the world map in game, you should see it between the Slith regions and the town of Spire. If you made it to the Slith fortress, you turned south too soon. Curious Artila Andariel
Thanks! I finally figured it out. The waterfalls were misleading me cause they're a one way ticket no coming back. I'm quite disappointed by the orb though. I thought it would be a free roam not limited in turns, which is actually more a jump than a flight... I understand that in the original, you could take off and you would come down after three squares, no matter what was below you.
Chittering Clawbug Avadon
@Andariel I know what you mean bro. I had visions of ditching the boat and flying all over Avernum, but crashed into reality instead. Even worse, the orb only works in Click to reveal.. the world map and not in the dungeons or towns. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Aw, the original was fun as you learned really soon to save before using. You could go crashing into mountains or find that you can't land back where you started because it was a special message spot.
Rotghroth Rhapsody The Reverend
Flying in towns and dungeons violates several AAA (Avernum Aviation Administration) regulations. Plus, in a dungeon, you'd likely end up hitting your head on the ceiling ...
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
I doubt party would hit their heads to the roofs of dungeons since some are big enuf for lesser dragons so should be big enuf to fly too.
