How to edit actual Geneforge?[G5]

Hey all.

 

I was looking through the scripts and I'm having difficulty finding the files that the Geneforge (the one you use in the game) are located in. I was playing through G5 and wanted to have a little fun with it. If anyone would happen to know where/how I can edit the files to change the skills the Geneforge gives you, I'd appreciate it. I'm playing in the Steam version btw.

Well yeah, I think it is on Steam where the scripts are located. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere since it was installed in steam.

Optional:

if you are a windows user follow these steps:

1.) go to where you installed steam

2.) go to steamapps folder

3.) go to the name you have used on steam

4.) go find geneforge

Because that's what I do when editing something on Team fortress 2

Is it any different because I downloaded it from gateway games? And if so can you tell me how?

The only difference there should be is how you find the folders, but the folders themselves should be the same as mine, so if what worked for me should still work for you. I'm not familiar with Gateway so I don't know where'd you find the files unfortunately.
