A-EftP - Sudden and dramatic drop in hit chance percent...

I have two melee characters with almost identical builds when suddenly (after a few days of not playing so the memory is foggy) the second character's hit chance on certain monsters is only 34% while the other character is 95%.

 

What's going on?

 

The character in question only has -5% to hit on gear and is not cursed.

If you want a specific answer, you're going to have to give specific details. What are the actual differences in their builds, and their equipment?

I did not take the time to write everything out because my first thought it is something that I have missed. Well, it turns out it was simple: "Frozen Blade"; based on INT not STR! lol

I've always wondered if Demonslayer isn't cursed somehow. I have two fighters and I progress their stats and skills identically. And whoever wields Demonslayer always seems to miss a lot, except when fighting demons. Could be coincidence, but I've always suspected it.

Demonslayer's only Offensive bonus really does only come into play against demons, while other weapons like the Spectral Falchion have more general stats that apply to everything. Really, unless you've a really die-hard tanking character who goes all googly-eyed over the defensive stats, or are fighting demons, Demonslayer's... there are better choices.

Demonslayer is still one of the best swords. Only the Flaming Sword and Spectral Falchion are seriously better, and Demonslayer's defensive bonuses are good enough to make up for the few points in offense it lacks compared to other options. So if you have 2 dual-wielders, you might always use it.
