Earth
Atm I'm skinning lizards (Sliths) west/southwest from Dranlon and I'm getting sick (nicely said) of my fighters getting terrorixed since then my casters become targets, all chars have 31% mental resistance but dazes, charms, terrors, etc have 100% succcess rate, can I raise mr somehow? Compared to A6 chars mental res. feels more like 0.
Punctuation rains from the heavens
Are you playing on Torment?

Earth
normal and atm it is that chars resist 1/3 of mental spells but that's only when they are getting dazed, charms and terrors have 100% success rate.
Randomizer
I've seen Adze-Haakai's terror work over 50% of the time versus 90% mental resistance.
Punctuation rains from the heavens
Is it possible that mental resistance (and maybe curse resistance too; who knows) is applied as a hit chance modifier (like evasion), rather than as a flat change to cancel the effect (like parry)? I doubt it. There are two messages that can appear when a mental effect fails: "Missed" and "X resisted". Intelligence affects mental evasion, but mental resistance seems to be a separate thing. Punctuation rains from the heavens
In that case, Intelligence affects both, because it is the main source of mental resistance. Hmm.
Randomizer
Also sometimes you get a message that you are immune to mental effect, but it seems to be dependent on the monster casting it.
