RF
That's what I call it, anyway. "Proof That Jeff Vogel Loves Savescumming". Currently playing a Torment singleton game and that's all I do. Savescum until I manage to get a decent haste + battle frenzy combo off. Anyone else feel like he could've just made it +AP or something instead of "randomly be able to double your amount of hits per turn"? Lilith
Yeah, it's not just you. That mechanic could have been better thought out.
Randomizer
Jeff has been trying to decrease the effectiveness of haste without using consumable items for a few games now.
Punctuation rains from the heavens
The complaint is clearly about the level 3 version of Haste, with its 30% chance of Battle Frenzy. It is definitely one of the poorest choices in spell design in the game, as Battle Frenzy (AKA Old Haste) is so powerful, it really encourages savescumming to make sure you get it on tough fights. xuerebx
Excuse my ignorance, but what is savescumming?

Earth
yea haste (and other buffs) have got nerfed alot since A5 while monsters have nature's haste or unlimited speed potions/scrolls/whatever and players casters are sometimes just healers and rebuffers instead actively killing enemies.
