ThePretender75
This maybe a dumb question: Ok, so I purchased Geneforge 1, 2, and 2 awhile ago and brought the CD as well. I got the urge to play them again and reinstalled them from the CDs. But how can I upgrade them to the latest version? The only links I can find on the website are for a new 'demo' version of the game.
Randomizer
Download the new demo version and it will use the CD registration in the preference file to unlock the full game. As long as the preference file that is usually found elsewhere on the hard disk is okay, you can play the full game and delete the older version. You may want to save and transfer your games from the old version to the new one. Depending upon the game they are either stored with the game in the application folder or in documents. ladycrash
I registered my copy of Geneforge 2 v 1.01RA through real arcade. If I download the demo of 1.02, will it still unlock?
Emmisary of Immanence
Yes, unless Real Arcade somehow decided to change the registration mechanism. —Alorael, who doubts they would do that. If you're worried, you should probably contact them.
