I saw the other passage behind the Altered Giant, but I got to a bridge that started to collapse from my party's weight. Went back and entered the Cave of Summoning. If that is the case then to the south of the bridge there should be a secret switch which opens a path for a wheel for you to turn. Once you do that you should be able to pass.
