Chittering Clawbug Matchstk Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Whenever I get to the end of an Avernum game, I play out a story with my party. Having been transformed from ordinary people into powerful demi-gods, they start losing touch with reality, driven insane with power. They start by destroying anyone with dubious power, then any powerful individuals who might threaten them (dragons, powerful mages) and then they move on to any form of centralized authority. Then, having completely lost their humanity, they annhilate everyone. It's really about seeing how levelled my party can get and not wanting a new game to end. But playing an evil party is kinda fun. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 I'm more likely to wipe out entire towns in Geneforge than Avernum, because major characters in that series are generally more likely to drop nice stuff when murdered and sometimes the ending even acknowledges what you've done. It's the "I feel lonely, sad and somebody has to pay for this" destructive mood.
