Fledgling Fyora malignant
In Shima's personal quest, there is an ambush where you are surrounded by all sides with Holklandan War Wolves. I play on Hard and got totally stomped by these pests. My party consisted of two dexterity-based shadowwalkers and a shaman. The wolves' acid and cold attack do way too much damage and they are all in battle frenzy. You could receive up to 8-12 area attack per round. How to deal with them ? I am thinking of go back to Beraza woods and respec my shadowwalkers so that they have very good endurance to deal with the acid/cold attacks. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Yeah, acid and cold attacks are a pain if you haven't put some points in Endurance. You could try using Shadowstep to stun them: that'll at least help reduce the number of attacks you take.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
This is one of those encounters where Jeff really wants you to go a different way so he made it extra hard to encourage the Shadowwalker approach. Having summoned pets will also divide their attacks so less attack your character and the Hands.
Unflappable Drayk Ceiling Durkheim
Yeah, the takeaway point here is that you don't actually have to fight them. There are alternate routes; most of them have traps/monsters, but they're not nearly as nasty as the war wolves.
Fledgling Fyora malignant
Oh I know I dont have to. I just feel like my party is a bunch of badass Hands of Avadon that really should be able to take on mere wolves :-) Also, my lizard / hellhound pet got chewed in a single round by the wolves. PS Earlier in the Berazan Bandit underground camp where the main character have to go in alone, I did it just by walking straight to the enemy camp instead of sneaking around just because I wanted to see if I could take em on. 20 on 1 but high dexterity meant that the bandits hardly ever hit me. When it was done, I felt awesome :-)
