Easygoing Eyebeast keira
Yeah it just started today, and I imagine it's what prompted the necro post http://www.nationstates.net/region=exile
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
Well, there you have it. Spiderweb has gotten me back into Nationstates. I just joined Exile.
Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
Sounds interesting. I think I'll terrorize the world with my own nation.
Magnificent Ornk Aran
Full circle. I'm fairly sure I got linked to Nationstates from either Spiderweb or Desperance back in 2003.
Rotghroth Rhapsody The Reverend
Excellent, another way to procastinate working on my dissertation. nikki.
Understated Ur-Drakon Tyranicus
It's so weird to see my regional influence as anything other than minnow.
Magnificent Ornk Aran
Most mods joined before Jeff decided to give free copies of his games. So did I for that matter, but it is certainly an incentive now. I actually still pay. Partly to support SW and partly to feel less guilty about going on hiatus for months ever so often and abandoning my post in the line of duty. I have yet to take advantage of this, but I doubt I will, not because I'd feel bad, but because I already have Jeff's best game Tyranicus
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I paid until I started beta testing. Now that Jeff's cutting prices I've had to take a pay cut.
Easygoing Eyebeast keira
I was told I should advertise that there's a Minecraft server (pretty vanilla, but with econ plugins) at cd.calref.net. Also, in addition, I'll just mention offhand that I'm also running a TF2 MvM server at be.calref.net:27015. If anyone wants to get together and play a couple rounds, holler. Well-Actually War Trall Rowen
I shall reinstall tf2 now and beat people with my fish in a newspaper on your server
Well-Actually War Trall Actaeon
I found the CalRef server to be a great way to get into Minecraft- you have fellow Spiderwebbers for advice or aid (or, I imagine, collaboration), infinite space to explore, the admiration of your comrades to gain, and several abandoned fortresses to claim as your own. Magnificent Ornk Aran
I've actually managed to get TF2 running on Ubuntu natively via the Steam beta, though even on the lowest graphic setting I still can't aim properly. (Which is totally the fault of the computer and not me sucking at first person shooters. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.) However, since my desktop died I'm about to put together a new computer - which is not the beast I was hoping for, but still more powerful than anything I own. Once classes are over in a few weeks, I'll be happy to join in the fun.
