Fledgling Fyora roxychan
Help! I finished the Angierach dungeon in A2 but now I can't leave! If I go out the front door I can't pass the statues with the basilisks. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
There were two ways out if I remember correctly. The easiest was priest spell to go back to where you start the game. The second was with enough cave lore you could find a way around the statues. Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave your sanity at the door. Then you can find it if you want it back.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
There's a secret passage that lets you sneak out a one-way exit, I believe. —Alorael, who hasn't played A2 in a long time. He'd say it's time to give it another try, but he can wait a little bit longer for the remake.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
http://faqs.ign.com/articles/377/377226p1.html that could help although it doesn't mention basilisks on Angierach.
Well-Actually War Trall Harehunter
Annotated maps. The basilisks appear if you try to sneak your way past the statues. First you are thrown back, and then the basilisks appear. This occurs if you approach them from either direction.
Fledgling Fyora roxychan
Hmm... I've looked through all of your suggestions but still can't find a way out yet. The basilisks are indeed there from both directions, so passing the statues looks impossible. There must be another way out, but I can't find it... This is all the annotated maps say about it: "That's it for here. Leave using your key, then go south, and make it back to Fort Remote." Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I'm pretty sure you can fight the basilisks, especially if your lead character has a crystal item to prevent stoning.
Fledgling Fyora roxychan
Yes, I can fight the basilisks but they keep coming! They regenerate every time you try to pass the statues...
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Without knowing this part of the game so well (it's been a good few years since I finished it), this link says that, between Angierach and the basilisks, there should be a secret door in the cave wall outside? Well-Actually War Trall Ishad Nha
Yes there should be such a thing. Click to reveal.. It is behind a secret door wall and it's one-way only but it works. Walk to the last square before the road goes between the two statues, then walk south.
