The shapers will die - but in which order?[G5]

Hello,

I am on my second playthrough of the game, but my first as a rebel. After joining and giving up upon Astoria and Litalia (Ghaldring promises power, not shapelessness and weakness), I have taken Ghaldrings quest to kill shapers. I am a level 34 shock trooper with a leadership/mechanics build, but with high strength and intelligent, nd passable shaping (I can make all creations except grade 1's, including firebolts and cryrodrayks. What order (and how) do I kill the shapers? I know that Alwan can be poisoned (and have the poison), I have got the sevant mind to give me control over Rawals defences, and found the secret entrance to Haia Kell , but not killed anyone.

I do not know Taygen's weakness yet.

What now?

Just kill first whoever you hate the most (for me that was Rawal). But bear in mind that after you kill the first councillor, all the shaper towns will go hostile, so finish off all other quests first, get whatever training you need, etc.

The councillors themselves all have some gimmick (like pylons or summons) but they are eminently killable. I did most of them in using acid shower/corrupting baton; that was without creations, I think it would be even easier with creations.

Taygen's weakness is that a high leadership character starting there can convert his creations to the west to switch sides.

Because all Shaper towns become hostile after the first death, some options aren't available to kill the others. What's funny is watching the immovable Alwan suddenly teleport next to you to melee.

Prior to challenging Astoria, you have to sneak, as I recall, back behind all of the heat pads you see in her zone. There should be a small area with controls. It looks like you found this area, since you said you lowered the power levels. I don't have the scripts on this computer, but with high enough mechanics, you gain the option to sabotage her machinery completely.

Thanks guys, I figured it out. You have to use living tools to disable each bit of the machinery along the cable lines, then set power to maximum to cause them to blow up. Alternatively, you can just set power to minimum without disabling anything, but this merely reduces the effects they cause, rather than stopping them working (and then blowing up).

Victory for the rebels - now to go help taygen. Does the disease kill you if you play as a servile?
