Garrulous Glaahk AethirWeb
has anyone looked at the map of Lynaeus? I'm not trying to offend anyone but why does it look as if the pact lands were drawn but the illustrator ran of inspiration and drew Random peninsulas that make up the farlands? Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
its not much different than normal map of world, besides since its medieval time maps aren't that detailed. on next games map will be more detailed cause there'll be new places to visit. Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
In game explanation: The farlands weren't added to be farlands, they were farlands because of how they stick out. But yes, I see your point. But why worry about the shape of the world when the plot is far more interesting?
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
central european map wasn't that different at 13th/14 century.
Hatchling Cockatrice ex post slarto
Central Europe wasn't exactly surrounded by odd peninsulas on all sides. What do you mean, EE?

Hatchling Cockatrice ex post slarto
Two odd peninsulas, one curving spiny peninsula that is nothing like the Avadon map, and one bordering continent connected by, um, a massive amount of land. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
was implying that asia could be considered a peninsula of europe really not an obvious enough joke

Hatchling Cockatrice ex post slarto
Now I'm completely confused. Lynaeus resembles 14th century Central Europe because "generally, not all towns were on map"? ?_?
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
I *think* that EE means that the map of Lynaeus is like a 13/14th Century map of Europe because "since its medieval time maps aren't that detailed" (from further up in the thread). So, as I see it, he isn't saying that it's like Europe because of it's shape, but because it lacked a lot of detail and towns? ...I know I'm not helping, because I'm confusing myself. Maybe the map we see of Lynaeus is like old Europe, because there isn't a whole lot going on other than the important bits? That sort of makes sense if you ignore everything that was said about peninsulas.
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
Nikki, @ I believe you are right, EE might refers to a map like this one: http://www.vurdon.it/!0139munster1.jpg :-)
