Tenderfoot Thahd Cyrlous
Hey, does anyone have any advice on how to optimize this game a bit? It is SO laggy it runs almost in screenshot mode. I have a fairly high end machine, running Windows 7, so I wouldn't expect to have so much trouble with what seems to be a relatively simple game (graphics-wise). Is this a known issue and if so how do I fix it?
Hatchling Cockatrice Aoslare
Cyrlous, can you give some info on what system you are using? In particular, your graphics setup (graphics card, etc).
Tenderfoot Thahd Cyrlous
I run an ATI Radeon, can't remember the series off the top of my head and for some reason my dxdiag isn't showing anything under the display tab at the moment. I'm not sure why that is, since it's always given me info on my card in the past.
Hatchling Cockatrice Aoslare
Hmm, that sounds fishy. You might want to look into what's making that happen. If that isn't the cause of the problem, and if you do have a more recent Radeon card, my only other suggestion is to make sure you have the most recent version of Avadon, ideally downloaded off the Spiderweb web site. I know Jeff did at least one graphics card related update for Windows users.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
updating graphic cards drivers might work. best thing would be uninstall previous driver and then install newer. has Avadon for Windows been updated?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
According to the Newsletter Jeff still hasn't made the final update for the Windows version.
Curious Artila Aeden
Don't think this has anything to do with the game. If your system doesn't recognise your videocard, you are probably playing the game unaccelerated. Fix your computer and try again.

Kyshakk Koan Karoka
It might be because your computer has too many registry errors making your computer slow down. RegCure can solve those problems.

Fledgling Fyora Stacktrace
Had the same issue as the OP on Windows 7 64 bit with an Nvidia 9800 video card. Installing the latest Nvidia drivers did the trick for me.
