A6 - Umm.. not able to go east of Almeria?

I went east to the Great Portal and went through the whole thing with the imps coming out. Went back to the Castle, upgraded to sergeant and given three new tasks. Finished Almeria, then decided to do the Tower Colony one.

 

First I try to portal to The Great Portal to get close, since I haven't been to Tower Colony yet. No dice. Just takes me to the Food Depot and tells me there's trouble placing me in the zone.

 

So I just start walking. Go through Almeria, across the toll bridge and.... black. Solid black screen and won't let me go east.

 

Umm.... what?

It sounds like you might have a save game corruption problem. Another cause is to check that when you start the game that it is still listed as registered since that can cause a black map east of Almaria.

 

If you still have another saved game from before the Great Portal you could try that too.

For whatever reason, even though I am registered, it switched back to an unregistered copy.

 

I re-entered my code and now it's working fine. Would be kind of annoying if I had to re-enter that everytime I opened the game, but better than having to redo everything I've already done due to a file corruption.
