Bevk
Is it just me, but I can't seem to find any blue ore around Jereth Deeps.
Randomizer
Try clicking on those tapering circular pillars underground.
Soul of Wit
I've long since completed that quest, but I still feel the need to click on any pillar that I see.
othersean
Are the relevant pillars highlighted when you hover over them? Do you have to be close enough when you click? Are the clickable pillars always the same? Do the tan ones and the red ones both count? I have spent quite some time clicking on pillars in various ways, but haven't seen any ore. Ceiling Durkheim
The main difference is that the relevant pillars will appear highlighted when you hover the mouse over them. You have to go next to them to actually acquire the ore, but you can click on them from any range at which they're visible, and will move toward them automatically. I think the ones you want have a somewhat distinctive color, but the main diagnostic tool is hovering over them with the mouse. Take fair warning: the substantial majority of such pillars are not the kinds with ore.

Randomizer
Most blue ore pillars are in the ogre mines. A few are with the bats underground in the west and with Neray's lair.
Dikiyoba
Hey, radiojonty, please don't post in threads that are more than one or two weeks old unless you have something important to add (such as having a problem in the same spot). Adding information to a thread that's been dead for several months isn't helpful because the question has been resolved and the original poster long gone. Thanks. Dikiyoba. freemen11
I'm trying to get the blue ore after I have defeated the ogres but I'm having problems. I have collected from 4 pillars but cannot get back into the southeastern section of the ogre mines. It is blocked by a closed gate down in the mines and the gate is closed in the above southeastern fort as well. Also the expanded map shows a trap door in the middle of the above map but when I do there no trap door exists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jerakeen
If you have "Neray the Smuggler" in your quest log, go back to the Wretch Warrens and find her. Let her escape, then return to the Jhereth Deeps-- the trapdoor should be there. If you don't have that quest but you do have "Deal with Tartam", return to the Kva lands and find him in the tannery. Get him to give you the Neray quest and then proceed as above. If you don't have either quest, get "Deal with Tartam" from Abi in the northwest garden back at Avadon, then see Tartam, and so on. I'm pretty sure there was at least one pillar down there.
freemen11
Thanks for the reply. I have cleared out both the Warrens and Jhereth Deep. I went back to the Warrens and walked around in the south of that area but saw noone at all. Am I too late?
Randomizer
If you don't have the Neray quest in your quest list, then you can't find her.
Jerakeen
Yes, looking at the scripts I see that she will not appear in the Warrens if Tartam hasn't told you about her. I was mistaken when I said you might have spoken with her before (I think that was in another thread). The only other reasons she doesn't appear are that she's already fled (which doesn't happen until you confront her) or she's dead (which only happens if you kill her). If you have "Neray the Smuggler" in your quest log, and you haven't met her, and she's not here (in red circle): Click to reveal.. ...then something is wrong. freemen11
Thanks guys for your help. I realized I missed the area she is first located. I found her, she fled, the trap door was then in the Deep and I was able to kill her and find the ore I needed. Thanks again.

I don't know if the person originating the point is gone or not. It could be ventured that a post cannot be "dead", as it were, as long as there are newer players of the game encountering the same problem or offering differing pov on the issue. Xquizts
Where is Jereth Deeps? I can't find it in my map. I only have Goldcrag, Kva lands, Zethron's Aerie and Wretch Warrens... =_=! or am i looking at the wrong places...
Lilith
You can't access it the first time you visit the Kva. Wait until you're sent on a quest to return there later in the game.

stumblefoot
I'm a new player and am having blue ore problems and appreciate this thread. I have a question about blue ore but am hesitant about asking it seeing that this is an old thread.:-) Oboy.
*i
Go right ahead. The blue ore is found in the mines of the Jereth Deeps zone. Search those curvy cave columns wherever your find them in that zone.
