Rotghroth Rhapsody Tracer Bullet
If you ask me,the ranking system should run like this: Outsider Initiate Novice Trainee Acolyte Adept Mystic Journeyman Master, 1st Degree Master, 2nd Degree Master, 3rd Degree Bard Lieutenant Captain Major Warlord Colonel Brigadier General Major General (OK it's getting too realist now) etc. How's that? (up 'til the Colonel)
Easygoing Eyebeast Enraged Slith
I don't really understand the order here, especially with 'Warlord' shoved in the middle of the standard CoC.
Kyshakk Koan Karoka
I don't understand it either, and I didn't even know some of these ranks existed. Wait...what's this for? I don't understand how Bard and Colonel can be put in the same place. EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out.
Easygoing Eyebeast *i
They are changed to reflect the release of Avadon. While your suggestions are appreciated, they do nothing to add to this theme.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Huh. Seems like it hasn't been that long since they changed last. (8/10s of this post was to see what new title I have. "Heart of Avadon" sounds sort of sucky. )

It's taken nearly eight years to get this far, so I doubt it'll be happening any time soon.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
I just noticed my new title is "Hand of Avadon." *checks out new titles* I believe "Meh" best describes my reaction. Titles don't mean all that much to me anymore. Originally Posted By: Fflewddur Fflam son of Godo Mystic Flattery will get you nowhere. Understated Ur-Drakon Tyranicus
I'm just glad that my custom title has survived UBB's many issues.
Easygoing Eyebeast Dantius
If you ask me, they should change ranks when new games come out. "Moderators" and "Admins" sound so clinical and boring. Instead of Hand/Heart/Eye being part of the user titles, mods could be Eyes of Avadon, Global Mods could be Hands of Avadon, and Admins could be Hearts of Avadon. Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
Because identifying the mods and admins should be difficult for newcomers?
Easygoing Eyebeast Dantius
So it's somehow difficult to identify those people with fancy titles, blue names, and added powers as moderators or admins, then?
Easygoing Eyebeast Trenton.
speaking of witch, i havent ever seen a mod, only a global mod and admin, never seem a greem name in there
Easygoing Eyebeast Dantius
I believe Bain is the only regular mod, everyone else got upgraded from regular mod to global. EDIT: Schrödinger is a regular mod too at second thought. But other than those two, I'm drawing a blank.
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
There used to be few to no global mods. Every individual forum was the bailiwick of two or three mods, who were only mods on it. Mods all held the title 'Blademaster', but only when posting in the forum they modded. So the same person would sometimes have a different title, depending on where you saw them. At some point this system was scrapped, and all mods who were then active became global. A few mods had stopped showing up here much anyway, so they were left as regular mods for their individual boards.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Mostly we leave the system alone since changing overall mod powers does strange things like making us all green.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
I believe the old UBB system didn't support global mods. There were admins and local mods. What's more, there could only be four mods per forum section. With the switch, all mods became global for convenience; it's not as though we all need our own turf to police, and it's better to have more eyes on the really busy places like General and, currently, Avadon. —Alorael, who has played with giving himself a custom title. He can make it happen, but it turns him green. Sometimes it turns other people green too. It's a problem.
