Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen Posted March 4, 2011 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Do offensive wands and scrolls stay reasonably effective throughout the game? So far, I've concentrated more on the middle and right branches for the shaman, letting her have most of the wands and scrolls for offense. Her Spirit Claw attack is not very impressive. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted March 5, 2011 Share Posted March 5, 2011 Spirit Claw at level 6 is great because the area effect can be positioned anywhere with the center within 10 tiles of the caster and it makes monsters take extra damage (vulnerable) from other attacks. Wands and scrolls have a to hit chance just like you, but the further into the game you go the lower the chance is for them. From worst chance to best (I think): wand of fire wand of venom lightning scroll circle of fire scroll wand of ice wand of lightning corruption wand Use them soon or sell them when they start becoming ineffective. I had sort of hoped that better wands would become available later in the game (avoiding items lists for now), but I've seen all of those except the last.
