Curious Artila pulverizer
I just started playing Geneforge 5, having only played the Avernum series before. I am enjoying the game's story immensely, but one problem I have run into is the limited inventory slots (an effect of having just one PC). Although it seems unlikely, I was wondering if there was a way to eventually gain more inventory slots (e.g., a "bag of holding").
Unflappable Drayk Ceiling Durkheim
No, unfortunately. This is a pretty common annoyance. On the bright side, items stay in most areas (possibly all?) indefinitely. I recommend finding a convenient place to stash crafting items and excess equipment/consumables. I generally went with the location of the first enchanted anvil, since it's where you want crafting items to be, anyway.
Curious Artila pulverizer
Thanks, that should do the trick.

If you do, items can disappear because there's a limit as to how many items can be in a zone; I don't know how high this limit is, though, but I do know that a stack of items counts as one item. Rotghroth Rhapsody Tracer Bullet
I remember in G2 I always carried 10 and only 10 Living tools with me, because they were so heavy. i had at one point 73 spares waiting in Medab. Unflappable Drayk Ceiling Durkheim
That's a nice thing about G4 and 5: no inventory weight limits.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
Well, technically, there is a weight limit for G4 and G5, but it applies only to your equipped items. However, you can carry around a small mountain in your pack without being slowed down by the weight.
Kyshakk Koan Txgangsta
That's because its assumed you can just drop the pack while fighting and pick it up right after your done. You know, like in real life when a bunch of roamers spring up on you as you're traveling to the next town.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Tracer Bullet
But what about certain combat sequences where you fish something from out of your pack--after having walked many yards away from where the fight began? Kyshakk Koan Txgangsta
You're a shaper and have a minor teleportation power. You can summon an item from your pack that is many yards away instantaneously without energy or essence cost. You know, like in real life when you magically teleport some toilet paper when you forget to check first.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Tracer Bullet
Oh awesome.
Curious Artila Asher
It would be nice to of had an extra few slots in G5 ... at least just to carry around those charms!
