Garrulous Glaahk macdude22
Was digging through old MacAddict's while home for the holidays and found this gem in the 13th issue of MacAddict.
Easygoing Eyebeast *i
Blast from the past. Those crazy 90's.
Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
There you have it -- BoE was made because JV didn't have the creative juices to make a full-length game. Was third-party content part of the original plan?
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
is that the one where the GIFTS showed up to answer interview questions halfway through
Ineffable Wingbolt Tirien
GIFTS...in a interview...answering questions... Im certain that went well.
Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
post the entire article
Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
Well, transcribing it would take way too much time, but if you own a scanner, we'd all appreciate you posting the images.
Easygoing Eyebeast Dantius
Seeing as I am unable to actually read the article, I guess that all I can do is comment on the picture, so I'll say that 90's Jeff looks almost identical to 2010 Jeff, but with longer hair. Also, it is a wonderful testament to the powers of stereotyping that had you shown me just that picture, I would have been able to guess that that person was a Mac user in a heartbeat. Ineffable Wingbolt Erebus the Black
Why mac and not linux?
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
The real question is whether from just that picture you could guess that the person had gone to Harvey Mudd.
Well-Actually War Trall The Ratt
Eh, maybe not Harvey Mudd, but he definitely looks like a 90's college geek to me.

I was digging through stuff in storage (aka mom's) that I hadn't even looked at since I went off to college in '01. Now that I have a house I was trying to see what goodies I had back home, unfortunately our basement seeps and I won't be getting it fixed for at least a year so I left everything back home. I will be back over Christmas, I'll grab that issue and scan the articles as a Holiday gift to you all. Cheers, -alex-
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
You old people didn't seriously think that hair style was good, did you?
Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
It's not the hair that's important, it's the beard. Actually, once you consider the beard, it's surprising that AvernumScript hasn't done better. Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
As I was looking at the pictures at the top of the right-hand page, I noticed something: Aren't those screenshots from Exile III?

Ineffable Wingbolt Tirien
It also looks like he mentions Avernum, since hes mentioning 3d in the bottom right corner.

Easygoing Eyebeast Dantius
Don't worry, Jeff's next remake of Geneforge will be like a Bioware title, but in medieval times instead of a corrupt and incompetent space-republic/oligarchy! The working title is "Drakon Age", but that needs a little work...
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Unfortunately, the image this conjured up for me was New Centurions.

Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Sadly, at the time of writing Jeff was only a few games away from omitting GIFTS from Geneforge. —Alorael, who thinks they would have made a much more fitting easter egg creation than ornks. Well-Actually War Trall Actaeon
Should there ever be a Geneforge remake, perhaps he will rectify that omission.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Then you can play a Shaper trying to get rid of those rogue creations.
