Well-Actually War Trall Ishad Nha Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I made a sign with the text "Lennus B & B", it was displayed by the game as "Lennus BB". If you prefix a letter with an ampersand, that letter will be underlined. It is like the menus in the editors, it only works for one letter in a word. Apart from the pipe symbol for entering line returns, does anyone know how to add any other formatting to BoA text and signs? Quote
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 The pipe symbol is the only opportunity for formatting. If I understand correctly why the underline trick works, it's simply a Windows-specific bug. That said, it might be nice to add canonical formatting. But I wouldn't rate it high priority. Quote
Easygoing Eyebeast keira Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 The & is Windows's magic trick for underlining things to show how to select it using the keyboard. iirc, escape it with a backslash ('\&') and it'll be fine. Quote
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Or if that doesn't work, try "&&" instead. Quote
Well-Actually War Trall Ishad Nha Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 If you prefix a letter with an ampersand, that letter will be underlined. I tried and failed to add tab stops to a sign. Quote
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I see two people explaining that backslashing or doubling it fixes it... but I bet that that would result in a backslash or double ampersand appearing when the scenario is played on a Mac. Quote
Well-Actually War Trall Ishad Nha Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 We already have separate scenario downloads for Windows and Mac, so it is not a fatal problem. As long as designers remember to make the switch for Mac. Quote
Magnificent Ornk nikki. Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Or, you could, you know, use "+", or "and". Quote
