Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
My first ever released scenario, Melliput Mobsters, will soon be open for beta-testing. Please specify the name you would like to be credited with and the operating system you will be using. You can put your email here as well, or PM it to me instead. Since I'm a Mac user, I'll definitely need a Windows tester. There will be no separate Mac and Windows versions, as graphics for both platforms are included. This is not the same version that was released for the contest (a couple of major glitches were fixed and dialogue graphics were added), so it might be better if the beta-testers are not judges. That said, I don't really care, and feedback from the judges via PM would certainly be appreciated.
Well-Actually War Trall Niemand
I can test, on either platform. (I'm too burned out to work on patching up my own entry for the moment, I guess I'll do this same process in a week or so. In the meantime, I might as well help someone else.) Niemand (niemandcwATgmailDOTcom) OS: Mac OS 10.6.4, simulated Windows 98, or real Windows 2000

Rotghroth Rhapsody BJ Back From the Beyond
Now that the deadline for the contest has passed, I have no qualms with doing this. Garrulous Glaahk Handyman
I don't care about the OS; I'll take whatever's available.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
Well, I guess five testers will suffice. I hope five testers will suffice. Scenario sent. Niemand, you can test on Mac if you want.
Easygoing Eyebeast Enraged Slith
I could also test for you, but you would have to wait until Thursday or Friday.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
I can include you in the second wave then, I guess... that is, after I get reports back from everyone who I sent it to already. (Or at least from enough of them.)
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
Enraged Slith: I'll need your email, here or via PM, to send you the scenario. Nikki and Handyman: Did you get the scenario when I sent it? I'm just wondering because neither of you have said anything.
Easygoing Eyebeast Enraged Slith
I think it's more convenient to send it via PM.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
...I didn't mean sending the scenario via PM. I meant receiving your email via PM. While I could send the scenario via PM, that would require uploading it somewhere first; plus it's extra work whenever I send out a new version of the scenario (since as it stands I just have to send one email to everyone). Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
So, I've received reports from three out of six, which have been very helpful, but I'm still waiting on reports from everyone else!
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
D: tomorrow.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
If I could have reports from Nikki, Handyman, and Enraged Slith by the end of the week, that'd be great! If you didn't receive it, now's the time to tell me.
Garrulous Glaahk Handyman
Yeah, that's fine; I'm just taking my time.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
I think this is nearly ready to release... perhaps within a week. I'm just waiting for a final report from my beta testers, and I have two or three non-plot-important things I want to finish as well.
Garrulous Glaahk Handyman
I'll be sure to finish the rest soon. I'm just not sure what to do when I've found the three objects from the laboratory.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
Have you tried talking to the king?
Garrulous Glaahk Handyman
I suppose that works; though it hardly occurred to me at the time. I will try it.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
Well, at least one tester felt it was logical to report back to him periodically on your progress... ...anyway. Nikki? Are you actually going to test this, or should I stop sending you copies?

Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
Celtic Minstrel, is there a more recent version of MM than the one you submitted to Tridash? Sorry, I couldn't find a version number, but the one I have seems to be broken.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
There have been several revisions since this thread opened. I guess I could send you the latest if I have your email. If this is for judging, though, you should be able to make it unbroken by changing the black altar to a chest, but don't search it until after sanctifying. Ineffable Wingbolt JadeWolf
If you need another tester, I can crank out my old BoA installation. Felt like doing that for some time, but had no excuse to look for the files -.- I'm on Leopardbtw.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
Okay, I just need your email then. You can post it here or PM it to me. An additional beta-tester would indeed be good, since one tester seems to have dropped out, and two testers have already tested three or four times and found a ton of bugs. It's advantageous to have someone else who hasn't yet play it to test after most of the bugs have already been fixed, after all. I may be slow in getting the beta to you, since there is one major flavour feature I want to implement and two half-working things that I want to solve before I get the next version out. Plus I want to address everything that was brought up by previous test runs.
