Tenderfoot Thahd 10d6
If I were to design a party where 1 of my characters is a pure tank (All defensive skills) and just stands in the front line parrying. While the other three members shoot stuff and cast spells. How would that work for XP? How far back in levels would not killing anything cause that character to be? Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
All chars get experience not just those who kill monsters, otherwise pure priest would be bad since priests offensive spells are kinda linited at early levels. Tenderfoot Thahd 10d6
I know XP is shared, I'm talking about how it's distributed between the killer and the rest of the party.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It depends upon the game. Most give almost equal experience to all living characters with some giving more to the ones that do the death blow. You have to be careful since in some games the AI will not attack characters that don't do damage after the first round.
Tenderfoot Thahd 10d6
How would aggro be handled then? Would enemies go after the character that dealt the most damage in the last round? Or would they simply go after the nearest character that dealt damage?
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
some go nearest and some go after most damage dealt and some can go and try kill casters. some monsters attack against that who attacked against them last on prev. round.
