Fledgling Fyora Lise
Apologies if this has already been answered; I tried searching the forums but I couldn't find any topics in the Geneforge 5 forum. Anyhow, what is stealth mode and how do you enter it? I was having trouble with an area and looked at Matt P's G5 walkthrough for guidance, and it recommends that you "go into stealth mode" and "boost up your stealth." Now, I can see no "stealth" skill anywhere in my character info, and there isn't any button I can click to go into stealth mode. So what am I missing? I did see one thread listing some items that added to your stealth, but I'm not sure how you would get infiltrator's items in the first few areas of the game... (?). Note: I've played Exile/Avernum but this is my first experience with Geneforge, hence my ignorance.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
There is no "stealth mode." At least not per say. You can sneak around mines and enemies by keeping your distance from them, thus avoiding combat. More stealth points from items shrinks the field that creatures can detect your char. Yes, there is no Stealth skill, which was lazy of Jeff. Just imagine it's the 4th General skill. Edit: Typo
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Note that one good way to be stealthy is to go into combat mode and sneak around that way rather than real time. Dikiyoba.
Garrulous Glaahk Unplayable Playable Character
I don't know if it works as well for G5, but I'm currently replaying G1 and a tactic of mine is to duck behind corners so enemies can't see me and then quickly reenter combat mode to replenish my AP. Works well for sneaking.
