MrRoivas
Alternate title: A Tale of Two Assassinations Just thought I'd highlight an excellent example of writing from our dear RPG overlord Jeff. I'm on my first complete (don't ask) play through of G5. Finally have gotten to the Gazaki-Uss area of the game. Two kill person quests. The first one was given to me by a Servile in a shaper jail cell. He wanted me to punish the one who betrayed him, another servile named Roga. After arriving at the border of Gazaki, I found out that Roga was the head of the local cultist group. Managed to rat him out and have his (formally) loyal cultists beat the crap out of him for me. Done deal, ding dong, the scum is dead. Another quest could be done in the same area. This hit was ordered by the Travokite drayk, on the drayk who ratted him out. When I found her though, she was a puttering technician, minding her own business. She got rid of the Travokite because she understandably believed that without shaping the rebellion would be crushed, and so would her species. Not all of this was stated outright, but subtly inferred. All in all, a decent creature who minded her own business and had no use for the typical drayk arrogance. When I actually thought about killing her, I started to get a sick feeling in my stomach. Ultimately, I couldn't go through with it. This kind of stuff is why I love the Geneforge series, and so admire Jeff's writing style.
Lord Safey
me being a loyal shaper killed her. I then killed all the trakovites
Acky
Hmm, interesting. I didn't notice that about her last time I played G5. Sometimes in RPGs I don't complete quests that put me in an awkard position morally. Take Dragon Age: Origins for example. My anti-chantry Mage never completed any of their quests, simply because she "hated" them. Lost out on some good exp and loot just for the simple act of roleplaying.
