Fledgling Fyora Malderest
I just downloaded the Demo of Geneforge 5 for windows, and when i start either the DX or the regular version, I don't see any resolutions I can choose. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me.
Garrulous Glaahk Cthulhu
Are you on a netbook or a similar device? If so, your display may not be supported as the minimum resolution is around 1024x720 or something like that.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
1024*768.
Fledgling Fyora Malderest
I am on an Hp mini, but that shouldn't change anything. I literally see no options for resolution when i start geneforge 5 in the box that appears. No 1024*768 or even 800*600. I should still see options for resolutions even if the graphics card and/or drivers don't support the games graphics.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
min. resolution for GF5 is 1024*768. you could try start GF5 in window (shorcut properties and on run choose window). http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Display-and-video/HP-Mini-screen-resolution/m-p/85291 has 1 tip to get more resolution. Fledgling Fyora Malderest
Unfortunately, none of those solutions worked for me. The only way I see that I can play it is by bypassing the warning about improper display handling and forcing the monitor to display 1024*764. That leaves me with a screen that i can and must scroll up/down on to see everything. I am unable to do that since I do not own the computer. Never the less, all this has helped me a great deal. Thanks to all of you. Any other possible solutions will be appreciated.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
there isn't unless Jeff makes patch which allows GF5 to run on 800*600.
Garrulous Glaahk grasshopper
I've got a hp mini as well, I was a bit annoyed when I realized I initially couldn't play Geneforge. I got it to work in the end... on someone else's computer.
