Articulate Vlish Failedassassin
I have heard about how you can make things with various objects, so I've been saving those various objects... Like bars of iron, hides, gold rings, rubies... Do I really need to save these things? I'd rather just sell them and buy equipment at a loss, but will this detriment my ability to beat the game (I'm on casual, and I still have trouble.) Is there anything I can make that I cannot buy, or is crafting stuff just a money saving technique?
Kyshakk Koan Mod.
Try looking at the Strategy Central topic. http://www.spiderwebforums.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=188639#Post188639 It links to this topic, which shows all of the crafting recipes. Note that there is another topic which shows collection quests. http://www.spiderwebforums.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=189448#Post189448 Have fun! Articulate Vlish Failedassassin
I know but... In your opinion, is it necessary to be savvy about this and keep items until you can make them into other things? Or can I get by mindlessly in the items department? Garrulous Glaahk Californian
Save for crafting: Fine leather Focusing Crystals Fine Steel Eyestalks (from eyebeasts you kill) Mandrake tincture Demon's bile If you keep all your Mandrake Roots and Energetic Herbs you'll be able to get 50 knowledge brews at about mid-game. You can sell rubies, gold bars, beautiful, lovely, and flawed crystals, and anything else you want to sell. (There may be one ruby used for crafting--can't remember.) Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
The Jade Halberd is very good if you're using polearms, but the answer is no, you don't need to save all this stuff (except herbs as Californian notes). Decent to excellent items can be found throughout the game, and it's perfectly possible to win (on normal, anyway) with less than optimal equipment and/or builds. I always seem to end up with tons of craftables left over.
